So, earlier this year I began painting miniatures. And it wasn't until yesterday that I decided to post them on DA. I didn't post them before because I wasn't sure if they fit in the category of Art. Sure I painted them but they are still figures that I bought to paint. The only thing I modify on them is their base. It drives me nuts to see how DA has become full of those stupid motivational posters. Putting a border and text around an image you did not make does not make it your art. So if it comes to pass that painting miniatures is not actually art and it is like uploading motivational posters I will be glad to take them down as to not fit into that category as one of those people. I was pretty much only posting my painted miniature images on my Facebook as well as in the Reaper Inspiration gallery.

The Tale of Two Tieflings:
So I drew two different versions of my Tiefling Warlock character from our Dark Sun campaign but I can't decided which on to color. So I am looking for opinions. Now I played D&D once (4th Edition Dark Sun), because I wanted to give it a try. And I did have fun. But I think I have more fun painting the miniatures used in D&D than actually playing it. Maybe I just have to get used to the Role Playing aspect. I think it takes a little while to get comfortable with the idea.

I don't know how many people on DA actually make money on these but I have done commissions at work for miniatures, so I might as well post it here as well.

$20 to paint and use a clear satin finish on a regular sized miniature you send me
$20 + Price of Mini, if you pick it out online and I have to order it.
$2 Flat rate shipping to send the mini back to you.
Discounts are given to multiple minis/armies.
Stripping of previous paint is free when you want me to paint it.

   Optional additions:
$2 for Grass or rocks to a standard base.
$5 Custom Sculpty Display Base  (I make sure the mini is removable from the sculpty display base in case you play a game where base size is important.)
